Week 7 Preview (Sp14): Take Me Home, Country Roads

The final week usually means a few more goodbyes to teams, but with half the league making playoffs this year more folks will be hanging around.

Three teams have punched their ticket to postseason, the Wolfpack, Gumballers and Canvassers. Still up for grabs are three more spots, and the coveted #1 and #2 seeds, which give teams a first round bye in the playoffs. That bye is even more important this year, since the #3 to #6 seeds will have to play two series, up to 6 games, in one day to advance to the World Series.

A summer season that started off crazy hasn’t corrected itself too much. It’s supposed to warm back up to high 80’s, with a 20% chance of rain. The wind might be blowing out for the first time in a few weeks, but it’s still unlikely that the career home run crown falls this season. Maybe someone can challenge Zach Carter for this season’s HR title though?

Commissioner Gallaway will not be a Gravelly this Sunday for the first time in the modern era. Deputy Commissioner Hudson will have access to the airhorn and things are expected to go smoothly.
