Written by - Posted 2010-04-14 01:19 in POTW

Each week three nominess will be announced for Player of the Week. The league, fans, and press will vote for the winner. Winners receive a very limited edition wiffleball keychain.

For a history of the award, check out Player of the Week History.

VOTES ARE DUE BY FRIDAY AT NOON

  • Nicholas DiCrosta (Scared Hitless): DiCrosta got Scared Hitless off to a 2-0 start, leading the way with two homers, two doubles, and a 1.625 slugging percentage. He also picked up his third career save, to become the all time career leader. The save also happened to close off a no-hitter.
  • Anthony Morin (Canvassers): Morin couldn’t lead his team to any better than a split start in his rookie debut, but he certainly has other managers wishing they’d taken a free agent. Morin homered in his first career at-bat, and added another homer and two doubles before he was done for the day. The rookie is third in league slugging at 1.444.
  • Jack Shannon (Blandsford Barnburners): Jack’s back. Shannon didn’t win the triple crown in 2009, but he’s off to a strong start this season already leading the league in AVG (.900), HR (4), and RBI (10). He slugged 2.200, and added a double for good measure.
