Player of the Week (Su10): Week 2 Nominees

Written by - Posted 2010-08-18 00:57 in POTW

Wind and rain caused problems for everyone, but especially for the pitchers. Pitcher ejection after ejection were followed up with home run balls that almost made it to the Potomac with a little help from the wind.

  • Aaron Christoff (Superman’s Wheelchair) – Christoff followed up on Superman’s Wheelchair teammate Joe Thaman’s week 1 honors with some numbers of his own. Wheelchair went 2-0 to keep the best record in the PWL behind Christoff’s 3 doubles, 2 homers, and 4 runs driven in. He slugged 1.000 and hit .400.
  • Nicholas DiCrosta (Scared Hitless) – DiCrosta bitched almost as bad as his girlfriend about having to play Sunday, but hitting for the cycle on the day, including 2 doubles, a triple and 2 homers gave him a 1.700 slugging percentage and a .700 average. He drove in 4 runs as Hitless maintained their lead in East by going 2-0.
  • Jim Shannon (Canvassers) – Shannon made his summer season debut as a Canvasser and picked right up where he left off in the spring, jumping into the home run race with 4 homers, and 6 RBI. He slugged 2.429 and batted .714 as the Canvassers went 2-0 to even to .500 for the seasons.
