“These are the times that try men’s souls.”
You’ve never heard this one before, Alex Filides is the Player of the Week. Filides had been nominated 9 times without a win, the record for most nominations without victory.
He led almost wire to wire and dominated the other nominees. Ever since his teammate’s surprise come from behind victory earlier this season rumors have been going around that Filides had figured out how to “Ragano” the system.
This certainly isn’t the first time the legitimacy of the POTW vote has been called into question, but it’s also not the most egregious offense.

- Stephen Zigmund Get’s 1,000 Votes
In his defense, Filides claims he only voted once. He has requested to throw out the first pitch when the POTW winners are recognized at the Nationals pre-game ceremony on June 22nd.
