Player of the Week (Su11): Week 4 Nominees

Written by - Posted 2011-10-11 18:22 in POTW

Neal Kovach becomes the second guy this season to toss two perfect games in one day. He came in to save the other team win pushing the Mountaineers into their first post-season. He is also our first nominee with a negative FIP for the week, throwing 14 perfect innings with 23 K’s.

Kovach teammate Andrew Johnson just barely edges out Sam Johnson (no relation?) to earn his second nomination this season as part of the Ha’chi operation.

Nicholas DiCrosta was pretty hung over but he was able to beat other nominee Alex Filides and eliminate NWO, denying them post-season for the first time after two appearances.

Lenihan helped the other 3-0 team on the day as the Canvassers claimed the South and the #3 seed in post-season on his first dinger. He really wanted one of those doubles scored a triple so he could claim the cycle, but alas, he got to third on a throw.
