Week two is in the books — and we’re starting to see which teams and players will begin to make a name for themselves. Moose Knuckles and Gas House are the only two unbeatens left, and both have players nominated this week. 4 of the 5 nominees have never won a POTW, and the one who has, is our defending champ in Adriano. Let’s see who can take home the trophy this week…
Adriano DeSorrento (5 nominations, 1 win)
Once again we see Adriano nominated for the second consecutive week. Last week, he took home his first POTW — and now he’s back for more! Mr. Handsome batted .500 on the day, an OPS of 2.200, including 4 homeruns and 7 RBIs. Oh he also wants me to mention he pitches well too, totalling 11 K’s and giving up no runs on the day. Someone’s back must be getting tired..
Chris Keeven (4 nominations, 0 wins)
A constant in this league, Chris had himself a day at the plate. Totalling 4 homeruns and 4 RBIs, Chris was on base almost every time he came up, with an OPS of 2.182. With no Thaman, Chris has been carrying Superman’s Wheelchair this season, his .526 BA is more than double anyone else on their roster.
Daniel Stana (First nomination!)
We have a first time nomination for Moose Knuckle Daniel Stana. This week he rebounded from a rough first week and managed an OPS of 1.846, and not to mention 4 homeruns in one game against Master Batters (7 total RBIs).
Chris Mazur (2 nominations, 0 wins)
Our only automatic nomination of the week — Chris pitched a perfecto against the Besley Bashers (8 K’s). He was also close in his first game against Circle Jerks, only giving up 2 hits. Chris didn’t do much hitting wise on the day, but certainly made up for it with his arm.
Andrew Martin (2 nominations, 0 wins)
From keeping score of your games, to killing you with his bat — Andrew Martin has been a welcomed addition to the Gas House Gorillas. Hitting 4 homeruns on the day, 9 RBIs, and an OPS of 1.600, Andrew stole the show for Gas House.
VOTING CLOSES AT NOON FRIDAY
