Adriano DeSorrento of the Nasty Boys won Player of the Week for Week 2.
He also won the award Week 1, but voting this week was the closest it’s been in recent memory. Prior to his win last week, he had been nominated four times without a victory.
DeSorrento carried the public vote, but trailed Christopher Keeven in the manager’s vote However, Keeven, wildly unpopular, fell all the way to third in the public vote which allowed DeSorrento to take the award a second week in a row.
DeSorrento is only the second player in league history to win the award consecutive weeks. Stephen Zigmund won the award four consecutive weeks from Week 2 to Week 5 during the Summer 2007 season.
