Player of the Week (Sp15): Week 2 Nominees

Written by - Posted 2015-04-28 17:53 in POTW

Week 2 is in the books, and as our anonymous writer points out, the new teams are already playing themselves out. Cmon guys!

  • Colin Gannon (4 nominations, 0 wins) gets another automatic nomination this week — throwing a perfect game against the DC Twits (and getting some redemption?). On the day, Colin pitched 12 innings, gave up 5 hits, and had 13 strikeouts.
  • Our second perfect game of the day goes to Wolfpack ‘skip’, Adriano DeSorrento (10 nominations, 3 wins). Adriano was 1 hit away from two perfect games, for the day, he had 12 IP, gave up 1 hit, and had 13 striketous. He’s also yet to give up a run in 4 games.
  • Andrew Zarobila (1 nom, 0 wins) helped the Moose Knuckles in both games this week, both being closer than they should have been. Zarobila batted .571, hit 2 doubles, a homerun, and 2 RBIs.
  • Look who it is — Chris Keeven (7 noms, 0 wins), this time with the Wolfpack. Keeven already has more hits in 2 weeks than he did all last year with the DC Twits. On the day, Keeven batted .667, with a double and 4 RBIs. Welcome back!
  • Yet another Wolfpack nomination to round out the top 5 — after missing week 1, Nick West (11 noms, 1 win) came back and made a pretty big impact. On the day, West batted .700, had 5 doubles, and 2 RBIs (with an OPS of 1.900).

The public vote counts for 50% of the overall total, and the league managers vote counts for the remaining 50%.
