Red Dawn, after an early career plagued by the devastating injury from that 31 mph fastball he took to the eye those many years ago, has finally risen back to his rightful place atop the wiffleball world. Showing the talent and determination that made him a high first round draft pick for the San Jose Abalone, he has rounded into a complete player and likely an MVP candidate. Sophomore slump is the furthest thing from Red Dawn’s mind. His batting average and fielding percentage are assets to a team still smarting from their crushing playoff exit last season. Tim looks to take another step toward greatness and roll with the Nasty's into the playoffs again this year.
But there are concerns that Red Dawn’s off-field antics might become a serious clubhouse distraction. There have been reports of wild partying and tabloid images of Tim out late at night with local boccie ballers, and who could forget that now viral dugout interview with Heidi Watney, in which he answered a question about team OBP by asking for her number? All this has spawned questions about his dedication and work ethic, but he still continues to be a one of the most valuable hung-over lead off man in the game.
